Privacy policy

Last updated 2026-08-13

This page explains what Verazondra collects when you read the site, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. The site is run for readers in Australia and is handled under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Who is responsible

Verazondra (verazondra.com) is operated by Jack Wilson, Australia. Questions about this policy, or any request described below, go to [email protected].

What is collected

  • Server and delivery logs. Our hosting provider and the Cloudflare content delivery network record the IP address, the page requested, the time, the referring page and the browser user agent for every request. These logs exist to keep the site available and to investigate abuse.
  • Consent choice. When you answer the cookie notice, your answer is stored in your own browser so the notice is not shown again. It stays on your device.
  • Anything you send us by email. If you write to the address above, we hold that message and your address for as long as needed to answer you.

There is no account system and no newsletter. One form exists, for ordering the handbook, and it is described below. We do not ask for your name, phone number or postal address, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Why we hold it

  • Keeping the site working and secure, and understanding which guides are read, which is our legitimate interest in operating the site.
  • Answering correspondence you start.
  • Meeting a legal obligation, if one applies to a specific record.

Analytics and advertising cookies, if they are used at all, are only set after you accept them in the cookie notice. Rejecting them leaves the site fully readable.

Third parties involved

Only those that are genuinely part of delivering this site:

  • Our hosting provider, which stores the site files and serves them.
  • Cloudflare, which sits in front of the site as a content delivery network and processes request data to do so.

Fonts and styles are served from this domain, not from an external font service. We do not sell, rent or trade information about readers with anyone.

Links to the app stores

Guides link to official Google Play and App Store listings. Once you follow such a link, you are on Google's or Apple's site and their own privacy terms apply. We receive nothing back from those visits and we cannot see whether you installed anything.

How long records are kept

Delivery logs are kept for a short operational period and then discarded or aggregated. Email correspondence is kept while the matter is open and for a reasonable period afterwards. Your consent choice stays in your browser until you clear your browsing data.

The order form

One form exists on this site, on the guide page. It collects three things: your name, your email address, and an optional message, plus the item you selected. Nothing else is asked for, and no payment detail is ever entered on this site.

What happens to it: the request is delivered to the publisher through the Telegram Bot API, which means Telegram processes the contents of the message as part of delivering it. Telegram's own terms apply to that transmission. The same details are then used to reply by email, to send payment details and to deliver the file.

The legal basis is the steps you ask us to take before entering a contract, and then performance of that contract. Order correspondence is kept while the order is open and for a reasonable period afterwards in case of a later question about it; it is not used for marketing and is not shared with anyone beyond the delivery described above.

The form also carries a hidden field that is invisible to a person and only ever filled in by automated submissions. If it is filled, the request is silently discarded.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles you may ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable period, normally 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with how we handled a privacy matter, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au. If you are reading from the European Union, you may also contact your local supervisory authority.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes will be described in the first paragraph for a period after they are made.
